Darryl Daniel


Darryl Daniel is Deputy Director of Information Technology for the Houston Airport System (HAS). He oversees technology infrastructure, applications, networks and security at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Ellington Airport (EFD)/Houston Spaceport. He also leads the teams that deliver communication systems, technology support and major IT projects.
Daniel previously led design teams at Burns Engineering, Inc., managing technology programs at airports including Pittsburgh International and Newark Liberty International. He served as project executive for the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Security Master Plan. As a managing consultant with AviDel Consulting, Daniel supported HAS in delivering projects such as biometric queue monitoring and free public Wi-Fi.
Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial distribution from Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering. He is a certified Project Management Professional and a licensed commercial pilot.
